These are access stands that took some thought. They usually use a combination of standard equipment combined with tube and coupler, larger planks, different size frames like combing single wide and double wide systems or inverting an outrigger or frame at the top of the scaffold instead of the bottom. Some are a combination of both standard and custom fabricated parts.
ESPRIT
This company was a big hit back in 2007 in San Francisco and they used loads of special scaffolding designs to display their clothing line. Here is one of the many different display fixtures.

This special designed stand was used to build the Wide-field Infrared Survey Explorer. A prolific sky-mapping telescope that has spent more than a year scanning the heavens for asteroids, comets and other cosmic objects received its last command February 17, 2011.
FLATE BED TRAILER ACCESS STAND
This sand is built with common single wide base frames with the top two rungs missing, standard bracing, casters, platform and two custom step and hand rail systems attached.
NASA AMES 40 BY 80 WIND TUNNEL
Repairing the wind tunnels at the N.A.S.A. Ames research Center, Moffett Naval Air Station, California was done with minimum attachment points and standard aluminum span scaffolding, tube and couplers. The customer after training was able to erect and dismantle scaffolding instead of hiring erectors saving money and time.

This lightweight aluminum access stand was built for Siemens to build the new BART trains. This stand is built with standard double wide scaffolding frames and braces with custom stairway and platform.
