We Invite Customers to Leave Us Their Scaffolding Stories.
– “Joe Foot, After calling on Coast Building Products formally Coast Insulation and meeting Different managers and inventorying their scaffolding to see what was safe to keep or repair and what needed to be Recycled. He also provided the mangers with quotes for replacement parts but was unable to get an order do to the economic conditions. He had also visited some of our Satellite Branches and done the same as well as doing Scaffolding Orientation. This went on for the last three to four years. Now that work is picking up and we need to put more personnel and scaffolding out in the field, I called Joe. I told him that his efforts had not gone un-noticed and would like to take him up on his offer to meet at the Santa Rosa Depot one day and the corporate offices in Dublin a week later. We have already placed an order for replacement parts for Santa Rosa and Ray our Shop manager is eagerly awaiting their arrival. When Joe meet me in Dublin I thought I would take him to lunch first because he was going to need his energy to go through the pile of scaffolding we had put aside to recycle. An hour to hour and a half went by when Joe appears at my office door sweating and dirty. He and I went down stairs to the shop and Joe showed me four different areas he had put scaffolding in. One was scaffold that just needs a part or two to repair the problem and bring it up to the OSHA and ANSI standards and ready to go back out into the field. The other area was scaffolding that needed more attention like an end frame you needed to cut the top section off and make a shorter frame out of it. The other was good scaffolding parts like an 8’ horizontal VX brace that we will use to repair one of our damaged VX Base sections with. The last pile was the recycle pile which we will remove all bushings, leg locks, short pin inter lock clips etc. and keep them on hand for spare parts and recycle the rest.
